NEWS OnePlus: OxygenOS 14 (Android 14) Ineligible Device List
Two developer previews of Android 14 have already been made available, and both lay a lot of the groundwork for the upcoming version of Android, which will be released in late August. Now that the first beta is available, stability has improved and some new changes have been made. The beta testing of OnePlus' OxygenOS 14 is expected to begin in late April or early May, with a stable release following a few days later. Android 14 is made available.
Following the OnePlus 8 series, premium OnePlus devices will be eligible for three major OS updates. On the other hand, starting in 2023, a limited number of flagships will also be entitled to four generations of Android updates and five years of security updates.
Major firmware updates for the flagship OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 8 series smartphones are no longer available. This is a result of brands changing their software features, which frequently conflict with the workings of the device.
Lastly, OnePlus will release OxygenOS 14 for both flagship and entry-level devices. Some of them won't profit from the upcoming iterations, though. The full list of prohibited devices is provided below.
